What's Covered
Anti-wrinkle injections temporarily reduce muscle contractile activity when injected in small, precise doses. In facial aesthetics, it relaxes the specific muscles responsible for repetitive contractions that create dynamic facial lines. Properly administered, it preserves natural expression and the full range of facial animation.
01Forehead lines
Horizontal lines across the forehead produced by frontalis muscle contraction (raising the brows). One of a common treatment area.
02Glabellar lines (frown lines / '11s')
The vertical lines between the eyebrows produced by the corrugator and procerus muscles. Often an impactful area to treat for a rested, approachable expression.
03Crow's feet
Lines at the outer corners of the eyes produced by orbicularis oculi contraction. Counted as one area (both sides treated together).
04Additional areas — £•• each add-on
Brow lift, bunny lines (nose scrunch lines), lip lines, chin dimpling, and neck bands. Your clinician will advise on what is appropriate for your anatomy.
05Dynamic vs static lines
Anti-wrinkle injections work on dynamic lines — those caused by muscle movement that have started to remain visible at rest. Static lines (caused by volume loss or collagen degradation) are better treated with dermal fillers, biostimulators, or regenerative treatments.
06Correct dose, correct placement
Underdosing produces a short-lived result. Overdosing produces unnatural immobility or an over-treated look. The right dose is individual — determined by your muscle mass, facial anatomy, and habitual expression strength. Placement is equally important.
The three commonly treated areas together — forehead, glabellar lines, and crow's feet — are the standard 3-area treatment at £•••. Many first-time patients choose 2 or 3 areas.

Audience
Who It's For
Anti-wrinkle treatment suits clients who want a refreshed, natural appearance — not a frozen face.
- Dynamic lines visible at rest — forehead, frown, crow's feet
- Want a softer, more rested expression without changing how the face moves
- Frustrated by being told you look tired, angry, or stressed when you are not
- Preventatively — addressing dynamic lines before they etch deeper into the skin
- Combining with biostimulators (Juläine, Radiesse) or regenerative treatments (PRP, PDRN, Profhilo) for a comprehensive approach
- Previously had heavy-handed anti-wrinkle treatment elsewhere and want a more refined, natural-looking result

Deliverable
Results and What to Expect
Anti-wrinkle treatment produces its effect gradually:
- Days 1–3: No visible change yet — the treatment is beginning to take effect
- Days 4–7: Onset of softening as muscle activity reduces
- Days 10–14: Full effect visible — lines softened, expression preserved
- Duration typically 3–4 months
- Maintenance every 3–4 months sustains the result
Your prescriber will recommend the areas and dose at your consultation, and can adjust them at follow-up.

Difference
The EGA Approach — Natural Results
The goal of anti-wrinkle treatment at EGA is a natural, refreshed appearance — not the frozen, immobile look that poorly placed or overdosed anti-wrinkle treatment can produce.
Correct dose
Individual to your muscle mass, facial anatomy, and habitual expression strength — not a one-size-fits-all amount.
Correct placement
Where the toxin is placed within each muscle determines whether the result looks natural or artificial. The forehead in particular requires careful brow-position assessment.
Clinical assessment
Every treatment begins with assessment of your facial anatomy, habitual expression patterns, previous treatment history, and goals.
Doctor-administered
Every injection at EGA is administered by a doctor.
Conservative starting approach
If you are new to anti-wrinkle treatment, your clinician will recommend a conservative starting dose that can be adjusted at follow-up — easier to add more than to wait out an overdone result.

Questions
Common Questions
Will my face look frozen?
Not when properly administered. The goal at EGA is a natural, refreshed appearance with preserved expression. Correct dose and placement are essential — both are tailored to your individual anatomy.
How long does it take to see results?
Onset of softening at days 4–7, full effect at 10–14 days. If a top-up is needed, it is usually offered around the 2-week mark.
How long does it last?
Typically 3–4 months. Some clients find duration increases with regular treatment as the targeted muscles adapt.
Are there different anti-wrinkle products?
Several licensed products are available. They work in a similar way, with slight differences in formulation. Your prescriber selects an appropriate product for you at consultation.
Can I treat just one area?
Yes — 1 area £•••. Many first-time clients start with the glabellar lines alone to see how they respond before treating additional areas.
Is there any downtime?
No. Mild redness or small bumps at injection sites for 30–60 minutes. Avoiding intense exercise, lying down, or rubbing the treated area for 4 hours post-treatment is advised.
Can this be combined with fillers or regenerative treatments?
Yes. Anti-wrinkle injections (for dynamic lines), fillers or biostimulators (for static lines and volume), and regenerative treatments (for skin quality) work on different aspects of facial ageing and are commonly combined.
