Measure How FastYou Are Actually Ageing

Standard health checks tell you whether you are sick. The EGA Advanced Longevity Assessment maps how your body is ageing across 80+ biomarkers — and shows your clinician exactly where to intervene.

Panel

What's Covered

Everything in the Foundation Health Screen, plus an extended blood panel tailored by sex, a VISIA skin age analysis, and a longer 30-minute consultation. Results delivered in 72 hours.

01Urinalysis

An important supplement to blood testing — detects kidney stress, urinary tract issues, early metabolic signals, and infection markers that blood alone cannot capture.

02Advanced Lipid Profile

ApoA-I, ApoB, ApoCII, ApoCIII, ApoE, ApoB/A-I ratio, small LDL cholesterol, lipoprotein(a). Lipoprotein(a) — Lp(a) — is a genetically determined cardiovascular risk factor affecting around 1 in 5 people (HEART UK). It is not included in standard NHS testing. Neither is ApoB, now considered by many cardiologists to be a more accurate predictor of heart disease risk than LDL.

03Inflammation & Methylation

hsCRP, CRP, homocysteine. Homocysteine is a key marker of methylation — the biochemical process that governs DNA repair, detoxification, and cellular energy. Elevated homocysteine is associated with accelerated cognitive decline and cardiovascular disease, and is almost never tested in standard care.

04Glucose, Insulin & Metabolic Health

Glucose, HbA1c, insulin, C-peptide, leptin, resistin, adiponectin. Fasting insulin — not included in NHS testing — is one of the earliest indicators of insulin resistance, often elevated years before HbA1c shows any abnormality.

05Kidney & Renal Function

Creatinine, eGFR, cystatin C, urea, electrolytes, uric acid. Cystatin C provides a more sensitive measure of kidney filtration than creatinine alone. Uric acid elevation is now recognised as an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease.

06Full Thyroid Panel

TSH, fT4, fT3, Anti-Tg, Anti-TPO. Standard NHS thyroid testing measures TSH only. This panel includes the autoimmune antibodies that indicate Hashimoto's thyroiditis — the most common cause of hypothyroidism in the UK, and frequently missed for years.

07Hormone Panel — Female

Oestradiol, FSH, LH, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, SHBG, Free Androgen Index (FAI). Tumour marker: CA 125. A comprehensive female hormone panel covering ovarian function, sex hormone balance, and androgen levels. CA 125 is included as an ovarian cancer screening marker.

08Hormone Panel — Male

Oestradiol, FSH, LH, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, SHBG, Free Androgen Index (FAI). Tumour marker: Total PSA. Total testosterone, FAI, and SHBG together give a complete picture of functional testosterone status — not just whether testosterone is 'in range,' but whether it is optimally available at the cellular level.

09InBody Body Composition Analysis

Bioelectrical impedance measuring skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage and distribution (including visceral fat), total body water, and segmental muscle and fat analysis. Muscle mass and visceral fat are two of the most powerful predictors of long-term health and longevity.

10VISIA Skin Age Analysis

Multi-spectrum imaging to assess skin age score, UV damage, brown spots and redness, pores, texture and wrinkles, bacteria and porphyrins, and a TruSkin Age — an AI-powered skin age assessment that compares your facial skin features with a global database of peers of the same chronological age and ethnicity.

1130-Minute Doctor Consultation

A structured review of every out-of-range marker, your cardiovascular risk profile based on the advanced lipid panel, how your hormone levels are affecting energy, mood, body composition, sleep and cognition, your metabolic trajectory, and a prioritised personalised action plan. For clients with hormonal concerns, this is where a treatment pathway — including BHRT or TRT if appropriate — begins.

Includes everything in the Foundation Health Screen — full blood count, iron studies, cholesterol, glucose & HbA1c, kidney function, electrolytes, liver function, vitamins & nutrients, and CRP/hsCRP.

Audience

Who It's For

The Advanced Longevity Assessment is for people who are serious about understanding their health at a deeper level — and who want more than a basic screen. This is the assessment we recommend for most EGA clients.

  • Want a genuinely comprehensive baseline across the major systems that drive ageing
  • Are concerned about hormonal changes — perimenopause, menopause, low testosterone, or thyroid dysfunction
  • Have had a standard blood test before and want something significantly more thorough
  • Are investing in your health through fitness, nutrition, or supplementation and want to know if it is working
  • Want a multi-dimensional read on biological age — blood markers, body composition, and skin
  • Are in your 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s and want to stay ahead of what is coming

No referral needed. £100 deposit, fully redeemable against your assessment.

What These Results Can Tell You

The Advanced panel is designed to look for early biological changes linked to the major diseases of ageing — often before symptoms appear.

  • Silent cardiovascular risk — Lp(a) elevation, ApoB patterns, or homocysteine levels that massively increase heart attack and stroke risk, with no symptoms
  • Hormone imbalance — subclinical oestrogen or testosterone changes affecting mood, libido, sleep, body composition, and cognitive sharpness
  • Thyroid dysfunction — particularly autoimmune hypothyroidism, which causes fatigue, weight gain, and brain fog for years before TSH flags it
  • Insulin resistance — the underlying driver of type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, PCOS, and accelerated brain ageing
  • Metabolic dysregulation — through leptin resistance and adiponectin suppression
  • Accelerated skin ageing — driven by UV damage, oxidative stress, or nutritional deficiencies visible on VISIA before they are visible in the mirror

A multi-dimensional read on how your body is actually ageing compared to your chronological age.

Difference

How This Supports Your Longevity

The Advanced Longevity Assessment is built around the pillars that longevity medicine considers most critical — and gives your clinician the data needed to act on them.

Cardiovascular health

The leading cause of death in the UK. The advanced lipid and inflammation markers in this panel are the ones leading longevity physicians now consider essential for accurate risk stratification.

Hormonal optimisation

Hormones are the primary regulators of energy, body composition, mood, sleep, and cognitive function. Decline begins earlier than most people realise, and optimisation is one of the most impactful longevity interventions available.

Metabolic health

Insulin resistance is now understood to be upstream of most chronic disease. The insulin, C-peptide, and adipokine markers in this panel detect it years before standard testing.

Biological age measurement

Combining blood markers, body composition, and skin analysis gives a multi-dimensional read on how your body is actually ageing — not just a single number.

Results in 72 hours

Your full clinician-reviewed report is delivered within 72 hours — not the weeks-long wait typical of NHS specialist panels.

Questions

Common Questions

Do I need to fast before my blood test?

Yes. We recommend fasting for 10–12 hours before your appointment (water is fine). This ensures accurate readings for glucose, insulin, triglycerides, and lipid markers.

Do I need a GP referral?

No referral is required. Book directly online or by phone.

How long does the appointment take?

Allow approximately 60–90 minutes. This covers the blood draw, InBody scan, VISIA skin analysis, and your 30-minute doctor consultation.

How long do results take?

Your full clinician-reviewed report is delivered within 72 hours.

Why does the panel differ for men and women?

The hormone and tumour marker sections are tailored to male and female physiology. Women receive a full female hormone panel and CA 125 ovarian cancer screening. Men receive male androgen interpretation and PSA prostate cancer screening. The rest of the panel is identical.

What is VISIA?

VISIA is a multi-spectrum imaging system that quantifies skin health across UV damage, brown spots, redness, pores, texture, wrinkles, and bacteria. It generates a TruSkin Age comparing your skin to peers of the same chronological age and ethnicity.

What if my hormones come back abnormal?

Your consultation will include your clinician's interpretation and recommended next steps. If you wish to discuss a hormone optimisation pathway — including BHRT or TRT — this is where that treatment relationship begins.

What's the difference between this and the Comprehensive Assessment?

The Advanced (£899) covers 80+ biomarkers and is the right choice for most people. The Comprehensive (£1,599) extends to 100+ biomarkers including the Omega-3 Index, advanced immune markers (complement, immunoglobulins), bone health (PTH), digestive screening (H. pylori, coeliac), pancreatic enzymes, allergy evaluation, and total antioxidant status — plus a longer 40-minute consultation.

Can I share my results with my NHS GP?

Yes. Your results are delivered as a PDF and provide significantly more clinical detail than a standard GP blood result sheet.

What is your cancellation policy?

48 hours' notice required. The £100 deposit is forfeited on late cancellations.
