What's Covered
Each session is led by an EGA performance specialist and focused on the physical qualities that matter most for both performance and longevity: strength, explosive power, mobility, conditioning, and movement quality.
01Strength training
Progressive resistance training calibrated to your current capacity and goals — building muscle, increasing functional strength, and protecting the musculoskeletal health that research identifies as a powerful predictor of healthy ageing.
02Mobility and movement quality
Targeted work addressing the restrictions, asymmetries, and compensations that affect training quality, injury risk, and long-term physical function. Sessions are built around correcting specific findings from movement screening.
03Conditioning
Cardiovascular conditioning programmed at the right intensities for your current fitness level and goals. For clients with VO₂ Max data, training zones are set at your individual thresholds — not population-average heart rate percentages.
04Power and neuromuscular training
Explosive power declines faster with age than any other physical quality and is directly linked to functional independence. Sessions incorporate power and reactive training where your VALD ForceDecks profile indicates this is a priority.
Sessions are most effective when preceded by EGA physical assessments which allow your coach to programme with precision rather than estimation. If you want to begin training without testing, your coach will work from your goals and fitness history.

Difference
Why Train At EGA
Training is the implementation arm of a wider longevity and performance approach.
Integrated with assessment
Our trainers work directly from your VO₂ Max, strength, and body composition data. When you retest, the comparison is meaningful because the starting point was precise.
Performance vs standard PT
What separates EGA training is the clinical measurement infrastructure that surrounds it, and the option to verify progress objectively rather than by estimation.
Clinical adjacency
Direct access to clinical input where injuries, medications, or hormonal factors are relevant, ensuring your training is always safe and effective.

Questions
Common Questions
Do I need to have done EGA assessments before booking?
No, but we recommend it. Sessions are more targeted and effective when built on objective data — your VO₂ Max training zones, force production profile, and movement findings allow programming to be precision-engineered.
What is the difference between this and the Performance Coaching Consultation?
The Consultation (£•••) is a planning session — reviewing results and designing your programme. A Training Session is where that programme is physically executed. The two are designed to work together.
What should I wear and bring?
Comfortable exercise clothing and appropriate footwear for gym training. Bring water. If you have any recent assessment results not already on file, bring these too.
How many sessions do I need?
This depends on your goals. For most people, a minimum of 6–10 sessions establishes new movement patterns, produces measurable strength gains, and builds training consistency.
Can I combine in-person sessions with online coaching?
Yes. Some clients use in-person sessions when in London and online coaching when travelling. Your coach maintains programme continuity across both formats.
How do I know if I am making progress?
Progress is tracked against your assessment baselines in session. Formal reassessment via the full EGA testing battery is recommended every 6–12 months to verify progress objectively.
