Beyond The Scale. What Body Weight Hides.

A detailed analysis going beyond body weight to assess muscle mass, body fat and water distribution, the data points body weight alone cannot reveal.

Book Your InBody Assessment

01

Panel

What's Covered

A bioelectrical impedance analysis using a clinical-grade InBody device, producing a segmental picture of body composition rather than a single weight or BMI value.

01Skeletal muscle mass

Total and segmental muscle mass across arms, legs and trunk. A key longevity marker: low muscle mass is associated with frailty, falls and metabolic dysfunction.

02Body fat distribution

Total body fat percentage and visceral fat estimate. Visceral fat is independently associated with cardiovascular and metabolic risk.

03Water distribution

Intracellular and extracellular water with ratio analysis, an indicator of cellular health and inflammation.

04Segmental balance

Left-right and upper-lower muscle balance, relevant to injury risk and training programming.

BMI does not differentiate muscle from fat. Segmental composition does.

02

Audience

Who It's For

A suitable baseline and reassessment tool across a wide range of goals.

  • Tracking the impact of training, nutrition or hormonal change on body composition
  • Wanting an objective baseline before starting a programme
  • Concerned that body weight or BMI alone is misleading
  • Returning to exercise after a break and wanting to monitor lean mass
  • Pursuing a longevity strategy and tracking muscle mass over time

03

Deliverable

What You Leave With

A detailed picture of your composition and how it is changing.

  • Total and segmental muscle mass values
  • Body fat percentage and visceral fat estimate
  • Intracellular and extracellular water distribution
  • Printed InBody report

04

Difference

Why Not Rely On BMI

BMI was designed as a population statistic, not an individual clinical tool.

BMI misses composition

Two people of identical BMI can have very different muscle-to-fat ratios and different risk profiles.

Segmental insight

Left-right and upper-lower balance reveals patterns relevant to training, rehabilitation and injury risk.

Trackable baseline

Repeat measurements under consistent conditions allow meaningful comparison over time.

05

Questions

Common Questions

How should I prepare?

Attend hydrated but not immediately after a large meal or heavy exercise. Avoid alcohol the day before. Wear light clothing.

How accurate is the measurement?

Clinical-grade InBody devices are widely used in research and clinical practice. Consistency of conditions between tests is important for tracking change.

How often should I repeat the assessment?

Every 8 to 12 weeks is a reasonable cadence during active training or composition change, less frequent for long-term monitoring.

Is this included in any of the assessment packages?

Body composition assessment is included in the Foundation Health Screen and Advanced Longevity Assessment packages.
